What is house call grooming?

House call grooming takes place inside the clients home. We come to you and bring everything needed to make your pet look and feel their very best! All you need to provide is a space to bathe the pet and about a 7x7ft place to put the grooming table (preferably well lit and not on carpet).

Why is house call grooming different?

 We come to you and set up in your home where your pet is most comfortable for a more personalized approach to grooming. They are not being exposed to loud and noisy shop environments or strange pets and there are less distractions for them. Plus you do not have to worry about all the back and forth involved with getting your pet in the car and to a shop. Westy's brings the salon to you! We provide one-on-one, private appointments and give every pet we work with our undivided attention!

Where will you bathe them?

Unlike mobile grooming, we do not use a van. We bathe the pet inside your home using whatever the owner prefers. This can be the tub, utility tub, or kitchen sink and we sanitize after we are done. We have tools and other gadgets to adapt to most shower/tub situations. Contact us and we can discuss the best option for you and your pet!

Can I bring my pet to you?

Unfortunately, no. We only do house-call grooming at this time.

Does my pet have to have vaccinations?

We do require proof of up to date rabies vaccinations unless there is a medical reason preventing so. In this case a written statement from your veterinarian stating so is required.

Can I bathe my pet and have you just do the haircut?

This is not recommended. Bathing and drying are important steps in the preparation before a haircut. If not done just right it often means we have to spend more time going over and over the same spots to get them even. We understand if you insist because of health or anxiety reasons, but will not be able to guarantee the same quality of haircut and the price will remain the same.

Can I watch while you groom my pet?

We do not mind if you stay and watch during the groom, however some pets tend to fidget and act up more if they can see their owner. If this is the case we may ask you to move somewhere your pet can not see you so we can safely complete the groom.

Do you groom outside?

We only offer indoor appointments. Our products and tools need to be in a dry temperature controlled environment and good dependable lighting is needed for the groom.

What about the mess?

We do clean up after ourselves and sanitize the bathtub when we are done. We do our best to leave the space we use as clean as we found it. That being said, sometimes a little hair does get missed.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash and all major credit cards through Square. However, we do not carry change so please have the appropriate amount ready. We do not accept checks at this time.
